Workshops and Masterclasses: Clarinetists/Composers/Ensembles

Dr.  Lamneck has been invited to present workshops and masterclasses to audiences around the world. From traditional repertoire to exploring the most avant garde music, her knowledge of  performance practices in so many genres is invaluable. Dr. Lamneck has presented classes at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland; Ball State University;  Cherubini Conservatory of Music, Florence, Italy;  CNR Pisa, Italy; University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music; CMMAS, Morelia Mexico; University of Manitoba, Canada; LSU, Baton Rouge; ICMC, Daegu, Korea; Ionia University, Greece;  New England Conservatory of Music; Queens University, Belfast, Northern Ireland; Penn State University;  Conservatorio, Potenza, Italy; Rowan University;  Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, England;  SUNY Oneonta;  NYSSMA;  St Mary’s College, Notre Dame University; Tulane University; Conservatorio Statale di Benevento, Italy;  UNAM, University of Mexico, Mexico City; University of South Alabama; New York University; etc.

In order to develop repertoire for her students, and in particular the flute and clarinet, she has been involved in many collaborative projects with composers. Phenomenon of Threes on INNOVA makes a significant contribution to the acoustic repertoire for flute, clarinet, and piano. The Tornado Project has commissioned works for flute, clarinet, and computer in interactive real time computer music settings with a CD release on Parma records.

Dr. Lamneck works with many young ensembles and served as the artistic director of The New York University New Music Ensemble for more than three decades. She realized this ensemble as a venue to introduce performers to electronic music and to explore improvisation, creating and orchestrating material for electronic music scores. The ensemble was recognized for its close collaboration with composers who created works for them including Ricardo Climent, Kyong Mee Choi, Lawrence Fritts, Douglas Geers, Dinu Ghezzo, Elizabeth Hoffman, Cort Lippe, Theodore Lotis, Eric Lyon, Robert Rowe and Pete Stollery, to name a few. 

Some of the most successful collaborations include works by composers David Durant, Mahoor Pourmoghadam and Jorge Sosa.
